I was listening to Christina Aguilera's 2002 album Stripped yesterday and it struck me that she was waaay ahead of the #TimesUp movement - 16 years ago. Have a listen! It's been years since I listened to the album and I took a trip down nostalgia lane and thoroughly enjoyed the 19 or so songs on the album.
What albums do i need to discover or re-discover? As someone who was born in 1985, and started listening to music in around 1995, I probably know every pop song and album from 1995 on - but my knowledge before that is limited enough. I had a lot of texts this morning saying "music these days is sh1t" etc but I strongly oppose that theory. Whatever music brings you joy is not wrong or uncool - embrace it!
