Kiefer Sutherland's first album, 'Down in a Hole' will be released this summer and he will also be on a 26-city to promote it (it should really be 24).

According to Rolling Stone, this will be his first LP 14 years after his first foray into the music business.

A vintage guitar collector the actor-musician's album consists of 11 folk-tinged tracks he describes as pulled from his personal experiences.

"It's the closest thing I've ever had to a journal or diary," 

"There is something very satisfying about being able to look back on my own life, good times and bad, and express those sentiments in music. As much as I have enjoyed the writing and recording process, I am experiencing great joy now being able to play these songs to a live audience, which was something I hadn't counted on."

This is video of him playing with his band ZZ Lightfoot. He’s a regular on the live circuit in LA.

He has a  Johnny Cash/Christy Moore vibe to him. Here he is with a song called The Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald which sounds like Back Home in Derry:
