This is the moment a young bike thief was tackled to the ground after attempting to steal a man's bike.
The bike had been left leaning against the wall of 360 Cycles Clontarf, in Dublin for less than 10 seconds when two lads who were walking passed grabbed it and made a run for it.
The bike's owner was quick to react however and managed to wrestle the bike back from the thief.
In a statement on their Facebook page the shop said, 'How quick can a bike be robbed?? Less than 17 seconds based on this video. One of our senior mechanics was very lucky to get away with about €200 worth of damage rather than losing his carbon racing bike.
'This happened in Clontarf over the weekend and we would like to urge all bike owners to lock their bikes at all times even if you are just leaving it for under a minute.
