For any band/musician that plays the circuit. It is literally a tough gig. You have a spot in your local bar and maybe a few others every week. There's a good chance you'll just be playing covers...and if you're in a tribute band that's how you pay the bills. You play someone else's music, but you do it the best you can.
So, imagine what it's like when the band - your band exist for - invite you on stage. This is is U2 in Toronto this week. When Bono spotted a guy with a mirror-ball hat he started chatting to him. Turns out he was in a U2 tribute band called 'Acrobat' so Bono gets them on stage.
And what unfolds is like every single tribute acts biggest fear and dream in one.
One of our favourite bits is when Bono1 and Bono2 share the mic. And the fact that it's Bono2 holding it to the real Bono! WOW.
Plus, the bassist has the funkiest pants ever!
