Just look at his little face... eeeeek!
He was trying to cross a busy motorway in Los Rios in Ecuador.
After making such a brave start he stopped halfway and ended up gripping tight to the road barrier.
The laid-back creatures who are known for their surfer dude slackness rarely leave their habitat so it was unusual for this guy to be found where he was...(we think he may be an adrenaline junkie sloth)
Thankfully, he was taken to a Vet and is now safely back home.
Eventually the passing motorists became aware of the scared sloth so they called the Transport Police, who posted the photographs on their Facebook page and have been shared over 12,000 times since!
Clearly, there was a patient and lengthy negotiation period:
"There like fast cars duuude, ain't no way I'm letting go maaaaan"
