Every September thousands of parents go on the emotional rollercoaster that is back-to-school time.
If it's their first time dropping their precious little ones off at the gate there are tears and hand holding (and that's the Mammies and Daddies) followed by long drawn out goodbyes and looks of 'why have you betrayed me' from the kids.
As they get older it, of course, gets easier, and soon they bounce through the gates of the school without so much as a glance back.
