Safe to say Westmeath band The Academic are going places. They just wrapped up a 25 date USA tour and are now on a European tour with The Kooks.

And now they've just released their new single Why Can’t We Be Friends with news of their debut album, Tales From The Backseat, due for release on January 12th 2018.
No upcoming gigs for The Academic have been announced yet, but the band is expected to announce a big Irish show in the New Year after their album is released.
