This year there will be two dresses by Irish designers at the Oscars.
Kilkenny studio Cartoon Saloon is nominated for Best Animated Short Late Afternoon.
It follows an elderly woman as she drifts back through her memories and writer and director Louise Bagnall, along with producer Nuria Blanco will be attending the event.
Irish Designers at the Oscars
Dublin-based Helen Cody has dressed many well-known Irish women.
Her clients include Amy Huberman, Bono's wife Ali Hewson and Mary McAleese.
The dress Stephanie Roche wore to the 2014 Ballon d'Or was also a creation of Helen's.
Helen is designing a dress for Nuria Blanco.
Alison Conneely
Designer Alison, who hails from Galway, also has a lot of experience as a stylist.
She is creating a full-length, silk dress for Louise Bagnall.
The designer came recommended to the writer and director through a jewellery designer.
Oscars Controversy
For the first time in 30 years the Oscars will not have a host.
In December comedian and actor Kevin Hart was revealed as the next Oscar host.
Just days later, Hart stepped down from the role as controversial tweets from his past resurfaced.
Frances McDormand, Gary Oldman, Allison Janney and Sam Rockwell make the list of people presenting the awards.
Last year, Allison Janney, Frances McDormand, Gary Oldman and Sam Rockwell had their names read from an envelope and they took home Oscar gold.
This year, they'll help make more dreams come true.
We're thrilled to announce they'll be presenters at this year's show. #Oscars
