A collection of the music icon's belongings is going on exhibition in the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons.
It runs until May 10th and when the exhibition is finished, the items will be heading to New York to be auctioned on May 18th.
Martin Nolan is an auctioneer from Julien's Auctions in LA, and on this morning's show he spoke to Joe Donnelly on the Dermot and Dave show. He told us all about the items and what visitors can expect. Listen below:
Some of Prince's belongings in Kildare for the exhibition include a Schecter “White Cloud” electric guitar gifted to a Paisley Park employee. It's accompanied by a typed, signed letter from Andrew Eastvold, a Production Assistant at Paisley Park who Prince gifted the guitar to in 2004.A white gold neck chain suspending a detachable “Love Symbol” pendant is also being exhibited. The pendant was worn by Prince during a photoshoot at the Paisley Park sound stage on October 1999, and was later purchased by a fan.
A long-sleeved lace-up collared blue shirt with matching pants worn by Prince while performing on stage is also available to view in Newbridge until May 10th.
Other items available to view include handwritten lyrics to Miss Understood and a handwritten short story in pencil.
