***UPDATE***
Yesterday we posted the below story about a major mistake in the new Irish passport. It involved the Samuel Beckett bridge illustrated in the wrong position.
Well, we got the following email from the Dept. Of Foreign Affairs:
please see a clarification below:
“In this image artistic licence is taken to allow both the bridge and centre be clearly visible as a representation of some Dublin features.”
Thanks and kind regards,
Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade
Thanks for clearing that up lads. And it's great to see we're making waves in the Oireachtas...but will this affect Dave's bid for President in 2020??
Below is the FULL story:
Eagle-eyed Irish passport holder and redditor 'Reichenbach_' spotted this major fault with the new Irish passport picture.
After receiving the new Irish passport they pointed out that "the convention centre is on the wrong side of the Samuel Beckett Bridge"
This is how it SHOULD look:

So, is this a balls-up of epic proportions? Imagine the statue Of Liberty with the torch in the wrong hand or Big Ben with a digital clock-face. Or is it a "whatevs" just wanna go on me hols?
