Spoiler, it wasn't a female pop star.
Yesterday, rumours were abound that a 'massive female star' had booked up spots on all six major chat shows in the US.
A big female pop star has booked all major late night shows for an unprecedented TV takeover on Thursday, August 8.

That's Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert and James Corden.
Those online assumed that a star only as big as the likes of Katy Perry, Rihanna, Adele or Taylor Swift would have the sway to convince multiple networks to allow them to take over.
It would be record breaking, and the perfect way to launch a new single or album...right? Fans of acts were hysterical looking for clues as to who it could be and what they could be telling us.
But no one had taken into account the obvious choice, the only man in the world with enough star power to do the impossible...Mr Ron Burgundy.
Burgundy, host of the Ron Burgundy podcast, and known to many as Will Ferrell paid a visit to the various TV shows for a spot of stand up and a bit of a chat.
Impressive no doubt but lest we forget, this man is a JAZZ FLUTE supremo and has fought off bears and rival news teams aplenty.
