Kieran Simpson is a lifelong Lincoln City fan, he has supported them since he was seven years old.

Kieran moved to Australia a few years ago, and is now based in Melbourne where he works for a radio station.

Kieran never thought he would see the day that Lincoln would take on Arsenal in an FA cup quarter-final, but it’s happening.

On Saturday 11th March David will take on Golaith at the Emirates Stadium.

Kieran decided to make his dream of travelling from Australia to the UK for the match a reality.

He set up a GoFundMe page, which has currently only raised 550 AUD out of a total of $1,800.

Kieran’s hopes were dashed.

He used his connections in radio and his understanding of social media to try and make it happen.

He failed.

Then on Tuesday he got a package from STA travel.

“My mind went straight to.. 'someone has set up tickets to get to the footy in London.''

But it was just a press release in the form of a cake – so he went straight back to plugging his fundraising attempt.

Then the next day a giant envelope arrived from STA, this time containing $1,300, enough to send Kieran on his way.

He’ll be in the UK for just 24 hours in total – but Kieran will get to see Lincoln play Arsenal, which up until this week was just a pipe dream.

Never give up on your dreams kids!

Kieran joined Dermot & Dave to chat about the moment he realised he'd be heading home:
