Dermot & Dave know everything about each other.
They've worked together for 15 years and have been friends for just as long.
But every now and then they still like to surprise each other and when they do it gives us all the feels!
It started last week when Dermot revealed that his Mam used to prepare an elaborate (well he used to think it was elaborate) cake when she was expecting visitors.
Dermot would stare longingly at the baked goodness, filled with fresh cream, orange segments (tinned obvs) and flavoursome sponge.
No doubt about it, this happened in the 80s.
Alas Dermot was never permitted to taste this indulgent cake, ever, and went his entire life wondering what cream, tinned fruit and sponge tastes like mixed together.

So Dave, being the total legend that he is, decided to re-create Dermot's Mam's visitor cake and surprise him with it on air.
