Barry Devine is an Irishman living in Mexico, who was caught up in the 7.1 magnitude earthquake which struck the city yesterday, killing at least 200 people.
Barry was travelling out of the city on a bus when he felt it start to rock from side to side.

After looking out the window and seeing people leaving their buildings, Barry realised an earthquake had struck the city and decided he would head back in towards the areas that had been hit the hardest to see if he could help in any way.
As many as 30 buildings had collapsed in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake, and Barry quickly joined a group of people who were there to help, passing buckets of debris, bricks and concrete in a line, all the while listening and searching for survivors who were trapped in the rubble.
Speaking to Dave on the Dermot & Dave show Barry said 'I just saw everyone working together and clearing the debris, it was quite amazing to see the community working together.'
'When I first got there, there was total chaos, there were people everywhere, lots of lights, lots of noise, but after a while the lines became more structured and we worked for hours trying to help the people who were trapped underneath these fallen buildings.'

This latest earthquake struck 32 years to the day of the 1985 Mexican earthquake which killed thousands of people.
Following on from that earthquake simulations are carried out throughout the city on a regular basis, and just an hour and a half before this quake hit emergency drills were taking place.
Barry said it took people a few moments before they realised that the alarms they were hearing were not part of a drill, and that a massive earthquake had hit the heavily populated city.
