Dublin footballers have made history after defeating Mayo in Croke Park yesterday to win their third All Ireland Football title in a row.

Mayo were the better team for most of the game, but after both sides were reduced to 14 men in the second half, the Boys in Blue dominated the play.

But it was a Dean Rock free in the 74th minute that sealed the deal for the Dubs, meaning Sam will be staying in the capital for another year.

You could actually feel Mayo hearts breaking right across the country.

Like this poor woman who was leaving Croke Park and spoke to the Irish Independent about her utter heartbreak at the end result, you just want to go up and give her a hug.

Will this Mayo curse ever lift lads?!
