The trailer for TV3's first attempt at a homegrown soap looks incredible.
This is what we know so far: 'Charting the life and dramas of a community about to be enveloped by a feud, through the eyes of those who police it, each episode will be a mix of 'crime of the week' stories and on-going serial arcs, following principle characters in both their professional and personal lives. A powerful and moving drama, Red Rock is a contemporary western, set in the shadow of Ireland's 'gold rush'.
We think it has a bang of Love/Hate,The Wire,The Bill,Eastenders off it. Which is serious praise!
'Red Rock' is being shot in and around Dun Laoghaire and Howth, with additional filming taking place in Dublin's Players Square. It is rumoured to cost around €7 million.
TV3 mean business.
Can't wait. Red Rocks hits our screens in January.
