It was the first time a band had ever been invited for a week-long guest residency on a talk show in America, so when U2 had to cancel understandably Jimmy Fallon and crew were gutted. Bono came off a bike in Central Park and broke his arm, fractured shoulder and damaged his eye (5 hour surgery, 18 screws and 3 plates!) OUCH.
