It’s that time of year again - The Choice Music Prize shortlist for Irish Song of the Year is about to be unveiled. This prestigious prize has previously been won by Royseven, Gavin James and The Original Rudeboys. Last year The Script took home the award.

Here is the news being revealed with the help of Fergal D'Arcy and his denim waistcoat:

Ten Irish songs from across a variety of genres will now go to a public vote. The overall winner will be revealed at the Choice Music Prize Live Event at Vicar Street on Thursday March 3rd. And it will be broadcast live on Today FM in a special FOUR hour hosted by our very own Paul McLoone!
