It's far from kale crisps, feta and avocado we were brought up on.

If you'd ordered a skinny double shot latte with oat milk back in the day you'd have been laughed out of the place.

Irish food was a simpler concept in the 80s and 90s.

If it was frozen, it was chucked into the trolley during the weekly shop, and then it was all thrown onto the plate to end up looking something like this.

The memories that come flooding back from this picture are something else.

Was it a Friday dinner in every house?

Frozen chips, beans, fish fingers or frozen pancakes were the business lads.

A simpler time indeed.
