An article written about Conor McGregor has gone viral for its negative portrayal of Dublin.
The article, which was written by ESPN’s senior writer, Wright Thompson tracks the rise of McGregor and gives an ‘insight’ in to life in Dublin, in particular he looks at what life is like in Crumlin and Drimnagh.
"The city, and its current champion, McGregor, are defined by those limits. It's a clannish, parochial place. Crossing the wrong street has traditionally been reason enough for an ass-whipping."
Safe to say the piece has left people a bit confused about its accuracy.

The Dublin I inhabit and the Dublin ESPN thinks Conor McGregor inhabits are vastly different places. pic.twitter.com/3r84fZ1yQS

@EwanMacKenna sounds like hyping up the 'tough streets of dublin' for the sake of this fight

It's tough having to fight your way across the Crumlin Road every day, let me tell ya...didn't realise I was from the Projects? #McGregor https://t.co/ZvCbM71iNA
