Want your shoe back in a bar in Belgium?
Then you'll have to make sure you return your glass after every single drink.
Pubs and clubs across the country have been struggling to hold onto their stylish beer glasses as sneaky customers tend to bring one home as a souvenir.
So much so that one bar in Bruges has invested in a €4,000 security system where all glasses have a security tag, similar to clothes in a store.
Meanwhile east of the country in Ghent, another bar owner is demanding customers hand over one of their shoes as a deposit.
Alex Devriendt told Belgian newspaper the Nieuwsblad that they “then put them in a basket that we pull up against the ceiling. The basket has now become an attraction, but for us it remains a guarantee".
So ya better behave in Belgium, dya hear?
