Colin Farrell is sitting in a luxury London hotel as he chats to Dermot & Dave.

The two lads on the other hand, are sitting in a function room in Athlone, worried that the music from the wedding next door is going to interrupt their chat at any time.

Although something tells us Mr Farrell wouldn't mind a bit of Rock The Boat wedding craic from home, he must get awful homesick jetting around the world between five star hotels.

There's no denying how far Colin has come since his early days of acting.

In fact Dermot and Colin nearly worked together on the set of Ballykissangel years ago, but Dermot left his assistant director role just as Colin joined the show.

Now Colin is one of the biggest A list stars in Hollywood and the lads were curious to know how the Harvey Weinstein story has been playing out over there.

When asked if Colin could relate to the saga, from being a young star in Hollywood along with all of the pressures and dangers that comes with it, Colin was quick to reply, 'No because I'm a man so it's a lot easier for me. I can't relate to it at all.

'I'm not online much, I'm just working away but ... it's a mess. Hopefully it's all been exposed now and brought to light.'

So what's next for Colin Farrell? He's doing a film based on a live action version of the Dumbo cartoon, which is set for release in 2019 and which sounds pretty spectacular to us!

You can catch Colin in The Killing of a Sacred Deer, directed by Yorgos Lathminos, whose previous work includes The Lobster which also starred Farrell, in theatres from November 3rd.
