As Ireland prepares to brace itself for the worst storm in 50 years, businesses around the country have announced they'll be shut for the day.
Do not go outside today unless it is absolutely necessary and stay safe, that's the message from Gardaí.
Hurricane Ophelia makes landfall in Kerry this morning and will work its way up the country throughout the day.
Penneys has announced they'll be keeping their doors shut across the country today.
While Dunnes Stores will also remain closed.
Brown Thomas said they will not be opening today for the safety of their staff and customers.
