Below is a rare out of print banknote from The Seychelles. Printed between 1968 and 1973 it is a 50 Ruppee note worth about €4 but at auction it could fetch over €300.
The reason it is so rare?
Well, there is a hidden message in the note. According to The Telegraph newspaper it is believed the message was added by a rogue engraver because the island was seeking independence from Britain at the time.
