Wisconsin residents are freaking out because they can no longer get their hands on Kerrygold.
Due to some crazy laws that are only now being enforced, it is currently illegal to sell Kerrygold in the state of Wisconsin.
Butter lovers can still buy the popular Irish spread in the other 49 states but no longer in Wisconsin, and residents are not happy.
Kerrygold is classed as a 'fancy butter' in the US, it's creamier than most other spreads, probably due to the fact that the cows who provide it are grass fed.
In 1970 the state of Wisconsin passed a law which required that all butter for sale be first put in front of a panel of "experts" which would give it a grade based on certain standards.
As Kerrygold is made in Ireland, it doesn't meet these requirements.
Violating the butter law can result in fines of $1,000, or a jail term of six months.
Understandably residents are going nuts for the golden stuff and according to US journalist Sara Gonzalez they are travelling hundreds of miles across state borders to get their hands on Kerrygold.
Sara explained all to Dermot & Dave:
