It has been a magic year for hurling, resulting in a too-close-to-call All Ireland final coming up this Sunday.
Ahead of Limerick taking on Galway at Croker, American website Barstool Sports sent one of their reporters to see what all the fuss is about.
Reporter Donny headed to Gaelic Park in the Bronx to watch Hoboken take on Tipperary, although just getting in the gate proved difficult, 'I tried telling him (the man on the gate) we were filming for Barstool Sports because we wanted more people to learn about the sport of Hurling and he goes “How am I supossed to know who you guys really are? You could be perverts for all I know.” After that first hiccup though everyone there was a nice as can be. Craic was had by all, which means “fun” in Irish if you didn’t know'
From there, he interviewed some Irish players living in the US and although he struggled a bit with the accent, Donny quickly got the gist of what they were saying and it turns out he's not half bad at the game himself.
