Three lives were tragically lost as Storm Ophelia swept through the country yesterday.
245,000 people are still without power this morning, with the ESB saying most will be back on the grid within three to four days.
In Dublin both the Luas Red and Green lines are down this morning which means no trams are running.
While schools across the country will remain shut until tomorrow.
As the country wakes up this morning and people get a first real look at the damage caused by Storm Ophelia, there are already reports of another storm brewing.
Storm Brian, an atlantic storm, is on the way, set to reach Irish shores by the weekend.

According to Met Eireann's website the outlook for the weekend is, 'Low pressure will feed in bands of heavy rain, in sometimes brisk west to northwest winds. Cool with highest temperatures 11 to 14 degrees Celsius.'
As #Ophelia slips away NE, and our winds ease, all eyes are on this weekend, when we could be welcoming #StormBrian. #onetowatch #UKStorm pic.twitter.com/CU4fwD8DAV
