Donegal is known for breathtaking scenery and stunning views.
And our northern most county is continuing to smash it out of the park with the placement of this glorious Celtic cross in a Killea forest.

The cross was planted sometime in the 2000s by Liam Emmery, who was a local forester.
Over 3,000 trees went into the creation of the gigantic cross, which has only become visible over the past few years from the air.
Tragically Liam Emmery passed away six years ago, due to a brain injury, and never got to see for himself just how beautiful his creation has become.
Emmery Cross is at least 400 feet in length and 150 feet wide.
