As a showcase of the world’s best photojournalism, World Press Photo is an inspirational backdrop for people to engage with issues of societal importance.
The 2014 exhibition comprises of 150 winning images chosen from over 98,000 images submitted by 5,754 photojournalists in 132 countries.
Tickets are priced at €6.50 each with concession tickets priced at €5.50 for students, seniors and jobseekers (ID required). There are also free pre-booked school tours available for secondary schools.

Matt Cooper spoke to Brent Stirton who is senior photographer for the assignment division of Getty Images, New York. He specializes in documentary work, and is known for his alternative approaches. He travels an average of nine months of the year on assignment, spending most of his time working for National Geographic magazine.
Brent’s work is exhibited in this exhibition.
