Speculation has been growing since The Simpsons’ producer Al Jean announced nine months ago that one of the main characters was going to die.
The only information given at the time was that the character is voiced by an actor who has won an Emmy for that role – which narrows down the field to nine.
It’s now been revealed that the title of the episode where the death will happen will be A Clown in the Dumps.
Could the end be in sight for Sideshow Bob (voiced by Kelsey Grammer) or for his rival Krusty the Clown (voiced by Dan Castellaneta)?
Or maybe Rabbi Hyman Krustofsk, Krusty’s father, might be in the firing line: he too is voiced by Dan Castellaneta.
