Imagine the scenario. You and your partner book a holiday together. You look forward to the trip for months and dream about all the sights you’re going to see. Then you break up.
The flights are booked and paid for in both your names. But there’s no way you’re still going on the trip with your ex.
This happened to 27-year-old Canadian Jordan Axani.
Back in March, Jordan and his girlfriend booked a trip around the world for Christmas (taking in Milan, Prague, Paris, Bangkok and New Delhi). While their relationship has come to an end, Jordan is still planning to use his ticket.
Rather than letting the ticket go to waste, Jordan is planning to give the ticket away to someone who would like to travel around the world this Christmas.
There’s one catch: you need to be Canadian and named Elizabeth Gallagher to use the ticket (he says it’s near impossible to get a name change on a ticket).
Jordan says he’s not looking for anything in return and that they can travel together or not:
“I am not looking for companionship, romance, drugs, a trade, or to take selfies with you in front of the Christmas Market in Prague. If you feel compelled to toss me a couple hundred bucks, great. Really the only thing I ask for is that you enjoy this trip and that it bring you happiness.”
