Get Involved
Busk with Focus Ireland
Are you a singer, musician, busker or part of a music group or choir? Join us at one of our busking events in Dublin, Cork, Waterford or Limerick. Live performances will take place throughout the day on Friday 11 March between 8am and 8pm.
Focus Ireland will be holding busking events in venues across the country:
- Dublin (Connolly Station)
- Dublin (Heuston Station)
- Dublin (Pearse Station)
- Cork (Kent Station)
- Limerick (Crescent Shopping Centre)
- Waterford (John Robert's Square)
Organise your own event
If you can't make it to one of the busking spots you can put on your own event. Gather your friends, neighbours, family, workmates, community and hold a fun event in aid of Focus Ireland. Host your own event in your community or share your performance online through social media on Friday 11 March.

Tune in to Today FM
On Friday 11 March, Today FM will broadcast from a space which has been recreated to look like emergency accommodation in the heart of Dublin city, to highlight what life is like for the hundreds of families experiencing hidden homelessness in Ireland today.
Tune in to hear special guests performing live from the emergency accommodation space as part of the Big Busk for Focus Ireland.
Our presenters will also have some very special segments on the day
IAN DEMPSEY: After previously getting a tattoo live on air and dressing up as a bride in a wedding dress, Iano is taking it one step further for Focus Ireland – he’s going to SING live on air on March 11th. Stay tuned to The Breakfast Show this week to hear what song he’s going to tackle!
DERMOT AND DAVE: Dave celebrates his birthday on Big Busk day, so his birthday wish is to raise a ton of cash for Focus and he’ll be asking listeners to take part in a Special Birthday Busk.
PAMELA JOYCE: Pam will be hosting her Sing-a-Long Buskathon on Thursday 10th March – 2 hours of busking classics to get you in the mood for The Big Busk. She will also take on her impressions challenge as she tries to complete The Many Voices of Pamela Joyces.
RAY FOLEY: Ray will play host to The Masked Busker. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday you can donate to play and be in with the chance of winning a hotel stay. All you have to do is correctly identify our mystery masked buskers!
