They're trying to pull the wool over their eyes.
It's tough being a small school in a rural community. You are an essential component for all the children growing up in the area, but the only way you can survive is if you have enough pupils on the roll.
Well step up a herd of sheep to help out.
A primary school in the small town of Belledone at the foot of The Alps in France has started registering sheep on it's book sto ensure the school has enough pupils on the books or the authories has threatened to reduce the number of lessons or close it's doors.
According to Sky News, a local herdsman guided the sheep to their new education institution to get them signed up.
There's now more than a dozen sheepish looking pupils enrolled alongside the 200 human pupils!
(now we're sure we counted more than a dozen but we started to fall asleep)
One of the parents behind the initiative, told Le Parisien newspaper: "National education is unfortunately only numbers. And so now, with this surge in numbers, we are good."
Well, we know what they'll be serving for lunch... Shepherd's Pie! Wahey! C'est tres bon oui!? ... Non.
