Anyone who travels frequently with Ryanair will know full well that you daren’t arrive at the airport without a printed boarding pass in hand
It’s a hefty fine and a mistake that you won’t make again (it cost me an extra £40 to get home when I made this mistake a few years ago).
That seems like a bargain to today’s current rates. Now, if you don't check-in online before your flight the staff of Ryanair are happy to do this for you at the airport – but for a fee of €70/£70/local currency equivalent.
€70! That’s more than the cost of the flight.
Customers who have checked in online but don't present their boarding pass at the airport can have it reissued for €15/£15/local currency equivalent.
Ryanair have released a helpful step by step guide on how to check-in before you fly to avoid those nasty fines:
A very chatty and happy Michael O’Leary joined Ray D’Arcy in studio last month to chat about his new image and Ryanair’s plans for the future.
The Ryanair Chief Exec chatted about having mellowed over the few years, having been “beaten down” by his 4 kids, and admitted: “I have rubbed up a lot of people the wrong way over the years. Some people think I’m wonderful and more people think I’m a pain in the backside”.
