St John Ambulance went above and beyond their call of duty last Friday for The Ray D’Arcy Show Half Million Half Marathon for LauraLynn, Ireland's Children's Hospice, in Dublin's Phoenix Park.
They looked after many of the participants on a very warm day, both along the course and at the finish, and were instrumental in successfully resuscitating one patient and transporting him to hospital for a full recovery.
St John Ambulance is a charity organisation and depends on fundraising only.
This Friday night in the Sheldon Park Hotel at 9pm, St John Ambulance is holding an event to raise much needed funds to replace their ambulance.
Their current ambulance is gone beyond its age and needs replacing before the summer so that the organisation can continue to provide cover at upcoming events. Tickets are available at the door.
