There was no happy ending for Brody and Carrie as season 3 came to a close with a gruesome and, perhaps, inevitable death for one of the show’s lead characters.
The upcoming fourth season of the hit series will see two new editions to the cast: Laila Robins joins as a regular and Corey Stoll as a recurring character.
Robins will play Martha Boyd, the U.S. Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and Stoll will play Sandy Bachman, the CIA Chief of Station in Pakistan.
The series’ fourth season is due to start production in Cape Town soon. However, strict new visa rules for foreigners coming to work in South Africa have delayed production. The first three seasons were shot in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Homeland won a primetime Emmy for outstanding drama series in 2012 and a Golden Globe for best television series in 2011 and 2012.
