In a new teaser trailer for the hit show, Carrie is seen telling her sister that she has no choice but to return to the front line. She returns back to a conflict-ridden Middle East, leaving her daughter at home.
There are a lot of new characters joining the cast of the fourth season of the hit series which is due to return to screens this October.
The show’s creator Alex Gansa has said that the new season will bury a lot of previous storylines and that it will see Carrie Mathison back overseas doing the job that she was trained to do.
The action takes place in Pakistan and Afghanistan with Carrie assigned to a CIA station in the Middle East.
A calmer Carrie will reconnect with a few members of her old team, including her mentor and former CIA boss Saul, who now works for a private contractor.
