Quick campaign update for all those following the amazing story of Simon Fitzmaurice and his film, My Name is Emily.
After a gruelling 5 weeks, filming across 28 days, the team finally completed filming on Saturday 18th October.
It's a remarkable story as Simon suffers from motor neuron disease, and was given only 3 years to live at his diagnosis in 2008.
Not one to give in, Simon, a father of 5, started writing a film script - the result is My Name Is Emily.
Some stills from the film:
Here’s the moment filming finished, with Simon saying 'THAT'S A WRAP':
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js#xfbml=1"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
The team are into the edit at Windmill Lane Studios until the end of April 2015. The film will then be sent out to festivals and hopefully make it as far as a cinema release at the end of 2015.
