New figures show that 50% of people who use a dating app or website have been in a relationship with someone they met online.
Half of us! That's a 44% increase on last year.
The survey of 1,000 people, conducted by iReach Insights, also found that a restaurant or pub is the most common venue for a first date, with the cinema in second (18%) and going for ice cream in third (17%).
The research also shed a light on how we portray ourselves online - with 69% of us believing a person only shows their good side when dating online.
Perhaps the most important thing to come from the research was the top 3 things that put us off on a first date, which were spending too much time on your phone, bad manners and being rude to waiting staff.
