Maura from Love Island has gone international.
The writer of US TV show 'Girls', Lena Dunham, has voiced her support of the Longford contestant
She posted a picture of Maura's head superimposed on the Virgin Mary and wrote 'Team Maura.'
The Longford lady received more praise last night for dumping Tom after he slagged her off behind her back.
For you folks in the UK who are binging on @LoveIsland like me, like Maura, I want a partner who can match me, not a coward who thinks I’m OTT, cringey and an attention seeker! Team Maura! #loveisland (art by Aisling Bea) pic.twitter.com/dcpxGnEeph

Dunham's praise for Maura comes just weeks ahead of Love Island airing in the US.
The show is likely to get millions of new fans once the show airs stateside on July 9th.
