It couldn't be easier to give the gift of sight this summer
On July 24 we are being urged to go #BrightForSight to help the 285 million people around the world who live with visual impairment.
Today 36 million people are living with blindness.
However 75% of sight loss can be cured or prevented.
That's where we come in.

On Friday July 24 simply wear something yellow for work, whether you are working at home or in your new socially distanced workplace and make a small donation here.
Of course this year is a little different to how we imagined! So although we can’t be all together, we can still get together for a virtual or socially distanced coffee morning to celebrate Bright for Sight and raise funds for a great cause.
Show off your yellow with your colleagues via a virtual quiz, video cooking lesson or bake-off, or even a virtual wine and cheese tasting!
Whether it's your brightest t-shirt, an eye-catching pair of socks or that gorgeous yellow dress you got online
Why yellow? It's the colour that's easiest to identify for people with a visual impairment.
The money you raise can make a huge difference to someone's life.
Here's what your donations can do:
17 cent can protect someone against the blinding disease trachoma
€2 provides a pair of glasses
€4 pays for a lens for a cataract operation
€32 can provide a cataract operation for an adult
€104 can restore a child’s sight through a cataract operation.
