From sport bra woes to sweaty knees, Today FM is looking to recruit a team of women from across Ireland to join them at this year’s Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.
This coming June Bank Holiday weekend over 30,000 women will take to the streets of Dublin city to run, jog, walk or maybe even crawl to the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon finish line - all for causes close to their heart.
Each year, #TeamTodayFM, consisting of women from across the station, take part in the well-known event but this year, we're casting the net nationwide and inviting women from across the country to join our team. Why? Because we want to hear your stories!
What does it involve?
The odd communal weekend park run leading up to event day, advice from experts on training plans, your registration fee paid in full and the promise to get you suited and booted for the day itself. You will also get the chance to go on live radio from time to time and share your progress with Today FM listeners, who will all be rooting for you!
What else has Today FM got planned?
Music, and a lot of fun. On the day itself Today FM will be bringing back Mini-Maraoke, which allows everyone at the start line to sing along to songs of their choice. They will also be providing DJ sets around the course to keep the blood pumping. In addition to this the station will be making a contribution to a number of charitable causes around Ireland, chosen by those registered to take part in Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon.
