The name of the ride - Verrückt - is German and appropriately translates as “insane”.
Standing at 51.38 m (168 ft 7 in), the ride has been officially verified by Guinness World Records as the tallest waterslide in the world. It’s taller than the Niagara Falls and the Statue of Liberty
The ride, which will see riders plunging down The Drop at 100 kilometres an hour and then climbing and plunging down The Hill (a drop equivalent to 5 storeys), lasts approximately 11 seconds. But first you’ve got to climb 264 steps to the top.
Would you ride it?
