Indiana Jones, Star Wars and MCU Phase 4 - what a time to be alive.
Yesterday Disney announced every single film that they will release in the next 8 years and we're excited to say the least.
Disney revealed that we will be seeing Star Wars Episode IX by the end of the year and that the film will be called The Rise of Skywalker.
Not only that but we will also be getting 3 more Star Wars films between now and 2027 - however we don't know what these films will be as they are just listed as Untitled Star Wars.
And it's not just Star Wars that lives on. Disney also announced Phase 4 for the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe).
With the massive success of Avengers: Endgame it's no surprise that we will be getting a steady stream of Marvel films over the next few years.
We know we are getting a Black Widow standalone film and that Black Panther 2 is on the way so we expect those films to be released sometime next year.
We can also expect Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in the near future.
Rejoice children of the 80s/90s because Henry Jones Jnr. is coming back to the big screen.
While we can all agree that Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a heap of garbage we're hoping Spielberg recaptures the magic of the original trilogy in Indiana Jones 5 which is due to be released in July 2021.
With the huge success of Avatar in 2009, a sequel to the film was always on the cards but it wasn't until now that Disney released any details.
And they haven't held back. We will be getting a new Avatar film every second year until 2027 which will bring us up to Avatar 5.
There's also a whole host of untitled animation films and live action remakes listed so we won't be stuck for a good watch.
Bring it on.
