The much anticipated Irish Premiere of the multi-award winning film Patrick’s Day is to take place on February 4th in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, the home town of the film’s star Moe Dunford.

Moe plays Patrick, a young man with mental health issues who becomes intimate with a suicidal flight attendant, Karen (Katherine Walker). To pull Karen and Patrick apart, his obsessive mother Maura (Kerry Fox) enlists the help of dysfunctional detective Freeman (Philip Jackson), who will use his position to help her, for a price.

A provocative and heart-breaking love story about the right to intimacy for everyone, Patrick’s Day proves, when it comes to love, we’re all a little crazy.

The film has been receiving huge critical and audience acclaim at film festivals across the globe including Woodstock and Palm Springs in the USA,  Les Arcs Film Festival in France and many more.

Today FM’s Ed Smith (from Ed's Songs of Praise) will host a Q&A with Moe and the cast and crew of Patrick’s Day following the showing in the SGC in Dungarvan.

A limited number of tickets priced at €15 for the opening night and the Q&A are now available now from the SGC cinema and a number of local businesses.

Pieta House is a free of charge counselling service for anyone, whatever age suffering from suicidal thoughts or self harm. Pieta House are opening a Waterford support centre in 2015 and all proceeds from the ticket sales will go to funding the house’s activities.
