The cheeky divils.
Have you ever eyed up the delivery driver as they hand over your food, wondering if they've knicked a sneaky chip on it's journey?
Turns out your suspicions could be completely justified.
A new study has revealed that 28% of delivery drivers have helped themselves to our precious food.
Over half of those surveyed also admitted to being tempted by the smell of food, but they at least managed to hold off digging in.
The survey was conducted by US Foods in the States but we imagine it applies here too.
A total of 497 delivery people were surveyed, along with 1,500 takeaway customers.
Customer Survey
It seems we're completely wise to delivery driver shenanigans.
20% of takeaway customers surveyed have suspected their food has been tucked into.
As well as that, 85% of customers would like to see tamper-proof containers introduced to prevent it happening.
Despite the findings, we don't think we'll be making the change to collecting our own food on a delicate Sunday.
