Competing for Science follows a team from Kinsale Community School on their journey to compete in the 2014 Young Scientist Competition.
The documentary tells the story of how an idea is turned into a project, charting successes and failures along the way. It follows the team to the RDS in Dublin for the 50th Young Scientist Competition, and captures the tension as they wait anxiously for the result.
As the story of the 2014 competitors unfolds, we also hear the success story of the Kinsale Community School three-girl team, who won the competition in 2013 as well as the EU Young Scientist competition in September 2013.
