The latest news is that Chris Martin has admitted that he’s not a vegetarian anymore - ever since his conscious uncoupling from Gwyneth Paltrow. Speaking to Steve Wright on BBC Radio 2, the Coldplay frontman explained:
"I am not really vegetarian. I eat meat. I was vegetarian for a long time but for various reasons I changed…. I felt like you should only eat something that you would be able to kill”.
Fair enough. He then went on to say: “Could you kill a fish? I would not like it but I probably could eat the fish...or a giraffe." Queue screams from Gwyneth.
He’s not the first person to change their ways following a public split.
Many celebrities have had tattoos removed following a break up - Melanie Griffith, Angelina Jolie and Eva Longoria, to mention a few. Perhaps the best story of all is that of Johnny Depp who decided to rework his tattoo of ex Winona Ryder’s name. His tattoo now reads ‘Wino Forever’. Clever.
Brad Pitt left his 5 year marriage to Jennifer Aniston – a time about which he publicly stated: “I wasn’t living an interesting life” - to set up home and family with Angelina Jolie. He soon adopted her two children before the couple welcomed their first biological child. The couple have since adopted again and have also added to their clan with twins. The actor has said that making this change in his life was the best thing to happen to him.
Sandra Bullock’s world came crashing down around her just days after winning an Oscar for The Blind Side when she discovered that husband Jesse James had been having an affair with a tattoo model. The couple had already begun adoption proceedings to start their family but Bullock carried on full steam ahead, finalizing the process to adopt son Louis as a single parent.
For others, a split has not meant giving up a surname.
Cheryl Cole decided that keeping her married name would be much better for her recording career than reverting back to her maiden name: Tweedy. We have to agree.
And Demi Moore, who has been married 3 times, was not actually born Moore. It’s her surname from her first marriage to singer Freddy Moore. She kept onto her name from her first marriage when she was married to Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher, and continues to use it.
Any others? Let us know!
