It’s an unfortunate blooper, but one that has cost a news anchor her job.
While anchoring Wednesday’s late night news bulletin on leading Indian TV network Doordarshan, the anchor pronounced Chinese President Xi Jinping's name as 'Eleven' Jinping, confusing Xi with the Roman numerical for eleven.
The Chinese President had earlier arrived in India for talks with India's Prime Minister.
