It’s the first day of September and the first day of autumn.

That means that it’s another 56 days until the next bank holiday and 114 days to Christmas…

“But I don’t want to go back to the real world!”

We hear you, but it’s time to pack away the wellies and embrace the new season.

Here are some tips to help get you started:

  1. Feel human again – it’s time for a scrub down: blow the cobwebs from your head with a hot shower or a bubble bath
  2. Pack away the kit – wash it, fold it, pack it away so it’s in tip top condition for festival season 2015
  3. Get some sleep – chances are you got none at the weekend so you need to recharge before you can conquer the world….Zzzzzzz
  4. Rehydrate yourself – drink plenty of water and give your liver a break – and try to stay away from caffeine (yes, we mean coffee – sorry)
  5. Eat well – if you’ve been eating junk-food all weekend long it’s time to get some good nutrients into you today - make a fruit smoothie or a fresh juice with loads of good stuff in it
  6. Exercise - a gentle walk or jog may be just the thing to get those endorphins going, plus it will help sweat away your hangover
  7. Watch some classic TV – nothing mentally challenging but some good comfort TV – think classics like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Bridget Jones’s Diary, Frasier & Friends repeats
  8. Relive the memories – download your photos, upload your photos, share your photos and smile
  9. When you’re feeling human again, it’s time to start planning some events and activities for the autumn months, for example: creative pumpkin carving and costume design for Halloween, get fit with SPAR & Ray 5ks and the Dublin Marathon and get cultural with Dublin Theatre Festival, Oktoberfest and Cork Jazz Festival, to name a few…
